CÍ DC53 Leather Belt Slot Punch | Oblong Belt Punch for Buckle Slots | With Handle / Handle-Free

Developed by CÍ and Bangbang, this DC53 leather belt slot punch is made for cutting clean oblong holes in leather belts, buckle straps, watch straps, bag straps, shoulder straps and other leatherwork projects.

It is especially useful for making the buckle tongue slot on a belt, where the cut needs to be neat, accurate and strong enough for daily use.

The body is made from DC53 tool steel, finished with a stone-washed surface and a hand-sharpened cutting edge. Each punch is made to order and usually ships in around 7 days, so the edge reaches you as fresh as possible, with the sharpness and working life we designed it for.

It is also covered by our one-year warranty for damage under normal, correct use.

Why We Made It This Way

A belt slot punch is not just a blade. It is a striking tool.

A very thin edge can feel sharp at first, but in real workshop use it may chip, roll or lose its shape more easily. For this punch, we focused on a more practical balance: clean cuts, a steady feel when striking, accurate slot shape and long-term durability.

The result is a leather belt punch that feels solid in the hand, cuts neatly, and holds up better over time.

With Handle or Handle-Free

With Handle
Best for larger sizes, thicker leather and frequent use. The handle gives a more stable strike, better force transfer and a more comfortable working feel.

Handle-Free
Compact and precise for smaller or regular-size slots. It can create a very clean, regular shape, but for slot lengths over 30mm, the handled version is recommended for better stability and durability. For sizes under 10 mm on either side, the handle-free version is usually the better choice. A handle does not add much value at this scale.

Use with a medium-to-hard cutting board for a cleaner cut and better edge life.

Do NOT use directly on wood, metal, glass, stone or marble. Hard surfaces can damage the cutting edge and create strong rebound when striking.
